Mini Haul: School Supplies

For ages: most people's logic is that if they have "cute" school supplies they will be excited and motivated to get work done. -- Well, duh of course this logic is true!

I have always loved school supplies and I do not think my love for them will ever fade. Being organized is key to success and school supplies allows for us to be organized; so, we should like our supplies shouldn't we? -- YES! I love following study tumblr blogs and pinterest boards. I get inspired by the neatness and organized school notes on social media to also work hard in my own studies.

So, today after class I went on the hunt for a notebook and colored pens. I stopped at BLICK and found a variety of colored pens (I spent a little too much time picking out pretty colors.) Then on to target I went in search of a notebook. I found a navy blue leather notebook. It is simple and my favorite color! I was on my way out when suddenly the dollar section caught my attention. I found file folders, dividers, post-its, and a To-do post-it list pad. All things that I planned to get eventually, but there they were, cute, simple, and priced at $1. I was ecstatic! I hurried home and have just finished organizing a binder for all of my classes this semester. I now feel that I am more prepared to carry on with homework. I wish I had been more organized since my freshman year of college, but oh well. It's never too late to start good habits.

I suggest everyone hit up their nearest target! The school supplies I got today reminded me of Kate Spade school supplies. Last week I was at Paper Source and almost spent 10 times the amount for each item that I bought today. I fell in love with the Kate Spade school supplies at Paper Source, but I am so happy with my purchases today, and so is my wallet!

No need in breaking the bank to be productive and organized.
Happy Studying to all!

The blog post I promised would be up, or something like that.

My explanation for this short and random blog post:
So today I planned on posting something, anything, but something. I had two great ideas and started both, but they both turned out to be more complex, they will go up within the next week or two, but not today. I found that I got really into the posts and they were becoming longer than I planned and needed to be proof read. And tonight I do not have time to write a long post as well as edit it all in one sitting. I will make time to blog, yet in order to make time I realized that I have to schedule things out more and work little by little. My blog posts will not be well done if I rush them.

At least I did't waste my day:
But on the other hand I wanted to update everyone with how my day went. I was more productive than usual and instead of spending time on social media all day, I actually completed an assignment and felt that I worked really hard on it. I was also able to concentrate on it with out distractions. I read the WSJ, made a smoothie (haven't done this in months,) and I met for coffee with a friend. These are things I usually don't have time for. But I'm learning to make time!

Last tid bit:
I have been obsessed with Amos Lee's song Learned A Lot. I'm inserting it below, I hope you enjoy it too. I came across this song on The Bachelor-- I can't believe I just admitted that I watch that.

Baby steps, I can't become a different person in one day.

In the spur of the moment, I Promise!

Oh goodness, I was so proud of how usual the blog posts were, and so disappointed when they stopped. I got "busy" but the truth is that I should have made time. I let social media control me, I want to stop using it so much, I want to be a more productive person. I promise that I will start blogging again, about whatever I want and I will keep blogging even if this blog does not get too many readers. But I will do this for myself. I'm going to do better, I Promise. I will keep up with this blog, I Promise.

So here's to me sticking to something and being consistent. Because, I know that I can do better and if I don't force myself to do better, who else will?

Who knows what I'll post tomorrow, but something WILL be up!
